About
Oral sessions
The sessions had an approximate duration of 2 hours. There was an oral moderator and a moderator who assisted with online submitted questions for each presentation.
Each session was opened by a key speaker invited by the organizing committee who gave an icebreaker presentation of no more than 20 minutes with 10 minutes for questions. The keynote speaker was a leader in their field and be able to present the state of the art of the topic. Each presentation has not exceeded more than 12 minutes, leaving room for 3 minutes of questions and exchanges with the audience, which were managed by one of the two moderators.
Recording of sessions
We aimed for the recording of the talks.
Poster sessions
In order to provide an experience as close as possible to an in-person scientific conference, we used a platform from WMO. From there, one can access the oral sessions and poster sessions and as well as the ice breaker and other informal and formal meetings. When people “entered” the platform, a private video chat opened automatically, which allowed everyone at the poster to communicate with each other. All posters were accessible during the whole conference. Each poster had an assigned session (day) where the presenter was encouraged to be present.
Proceedings from the Conference
We look for an opportunity for a special journal issue/proceedings from the conference. We aim to summarise gaps and needs from a social science perspective and take this to the WWRP Conference late in 2022.
